Management Shift Prepares for Future Changes
(Minden, NE) – Royal Engineered Composites recently announced a change in their organizational structure that will allow a smooth transition upon the retirement of current President Phillip Gill in 2014. Dave Arnold, former Vice President of Operations, will be stepping into the role of Vice President, and Jason Bates has moved from his role as Material Manager to Production Manager.
With this change comes a shift in supervisory responsibilities. Notably, Arnold will now supervise the Engineering and Quality departments, and Bates will take responsibility for all production supervisors. Gill will maintain oversight of Sales and Marketing, Finance and Human Resources.
This step is another effort to prepare for the exit of Gill who, in 2008, established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan for the company and began selling stock the employees. Currently, Gill is the majority owner of the company but has plans to sell the remainder of his shares to Royal’s employees in the future.
Royal Engineered Composites offers complete design, manufacturing and prototyping services, as well as mold making and technical support, for aerospace and defense companies. Until 2010, Royal was known by its original name of Royal Plastic. The change to Royal Engineered Composites reinforces Royal as an industry leader in the production of composite parts and more accurately represents the company's technical capabilities and state-of-the-art facilities, equipment and expertise.
