Position Summary

Maintenance Custodial Technician – Weekend Shift

Position Summary

Maintenance Custodial Technician must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  Must be able to perform typical custodial duties.  Must have a minimal level of skills in troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery in our manufacturing facility.   Work includes general cleaning duties, some mechanical repairs, mechanical troubleshooting, some electrical repairs, and preventative maintenance duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain forklift certification per company and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain a regular and reliable schedule as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines.
  • Cleaning throughout the plant and property, including restrooms, breakrooms, equipment, and floors.
  • General plant maintenance including machine repairs, upkeep, and ordering supplies and repair parts.
  • Preventative maintenance including changing belts, bulbs, filters.
  • Troubleshooting plant equipment when necessary.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other policies as applicable; including arc flash, electrical safety, and LOTO.

Marginal Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company.
  • Be actively engaged in the department’s 6S program and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Clean within the department.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and in-house training.
  • Repair, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of plant’s HVAC system; replacement when necessary
  • Welding and fabrication on occasion.
QUALIFICATIONS

Work Qualifications:

  • Formal education: No specific educational requirements, additional post High School trades coursework a plus
  • Experience: 2+ years in a Maintenance role or related trade
  • Computer Skills: Must be able to use basic computer operations.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Maintenance certificates preferred, but not required. HVAC EPA certification a plus

Position Summary

Painters are responsible for preparing what needs to be painted and mixing the necessary amount of paint. They use a spray gun, determined by specifications, and coat the part. After coating, they must inspect the part to ensure proper coating. Painters are also responsible for maintaining their equipment and work-space through cleaning and light maintenance.
