QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal Vice President of Finance for Royal is a forward thinking leader who promotes and enables change throughout the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES

The essence of the VP of Finance role is to work with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to understand the business, the market, the strategy, and the environment and integrate with the Leadership Team to leverage his/her skills and experience in finance, economics, and accounting to accomplish the strategic and tactical goals of the company. The results include tactical execution of solid business systems for processing information and data as well as forward-looking planning and analysis to improve return on investment and guide management decisions. The VP of Finance looks at the financial and economic landscapes; works with the CFO to provide access to more capital than the company needs; improves financial management systems; works as a leader and business partner with the rest of the Leadership Team to identify areas of improvement or issues across the company; and drives successful results. The VP of Finance is expected to bring solutions and options instead of problems, and bring those solutions very early when warning signs emerge.

Strategy

  • Work as a member of the Leadership Team to set strategy, vision, mission, purpose, and overall direction.
  • Execute the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business. Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments, etc.

Financial & Economic

  • Work with the CFO and President to establish and execute a plan to support Royal’s financial needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to hedge or limit risk in changing economic conditions, including inflation and labor, and apply those strategies to contracts and practice.
  • Produce financial statements and reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide analysis of performance that can be integrated into models to improve planning.
  • Responsible for accurate accounting and finance practices that satisfy Board & management needs; pass external audits; and comply with regulatory governance.
  • Work with Leadership Team & CFO to develop future financial projection models for use in planning for management, the Board and outside stakeholders (external trustee of ESOP, banks, etc.).
  • Work with Leadership Team and CFO to enhance annual budgeting process to include working with department heads on their annual budget numbers, variance analysis on an ongoing basis, and develop ownership in the numbers at the department head level.

Continuous Improvement Engineer

Position Summary

The Continuous Improvement Engineer is a member of the Process Performance and Automation group and is responsible for running the continuous improvement program.  This includes improvements to new launch and legacy processes.  The CI Engineer will work with the production department and the manufacturing engineering group to ensure that the program continues to meet and exceed delivery and yield goals by focusing on specific improvement events and projects.

Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for generating innovative and practical solutions to improve quality, safety and productivity of the manufacturing process. The primary objective of this role is to support the company’s on time delivery through continuous improvements to parts and processes in production. This individual will manage projects including process improvements, alternative manufacturing methods, process automation and production tooling design. S/he will support projects for new equipment installation, new process development and quality initiatives.
