Senior Project Engineer

Position Summary

A Senior Project Engineer leads the technical effort for new product realization, from digital model, specifications, and other requirements to final product and process acceptance.  A Senior Project Engineer is responsible for generating innovative and practical solutions to complex problems and performing fundamental engineering analysis to validate designs. He or she may also assist sales efforts by assisting with the generation of estimates and proposals. New processes and products are managed by Senior Project Engineers through the first article adaption and transition to full scale production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify technical requirements for project scope and develop a project plan including milestones, tasks, effort, risks, and duration
  • Apply process tools such as DFMEA, FMEA, and DOE to effectively drive successful technical results. In the absence of tools, apply experience and knowledge to develop new tools as necessary.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional resources to achieve specific project results (on time, on budget, production yields)
  • Function as lead technical contact for internal and external communications.
  • Participate in training, mentoring, and recruiting of technical talent
  • Develop and deploy systems and standards when required. Work with others to develop, document, and train on new systems and standards.

  • Complete hands-on work with production and product development personnel to support fabrication of first articles.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Qualifications:

  • Formal education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience:  6-8 years of applicable experience in an Aerospace/Aeronautics environment.  Demonstration of results delivery with progressive levels of complexity and responsibility.
  • Computer Skills:  Must be able to use common office software and engineering software systems (Microsoft Office, CAD software, ERP, PLM).
  • Certificates and Licenses:  None required.

Quality Engineer

Position Summary

A Quality Engineer is responsible for duties that include many elements involving materials and processes (M&P) along with auditing responsibilities, both internal and in preparation and leading of external industry and customer audits.

Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for generating innovative and practical solutions to improve quality, safety and productivity of the manufacturing process. The primary objective of this role is to support the company’s on time delivery through continuous improvements to parts and processes in production. This individual will manage projects including process improvements, alternative manufacturing methods, process automation and production tooling design. S/he will support projects for new equipment installation, new process development and quality initiatives. Extensive coordination with all other functions of Royal (e.g. Quality, Program Managers, Project Engineers, etc.) will be required in this role.   S/he will work under minimal supervision.

CAD Technician View Details

CAD Technician

Position Summary

CAD Technicians are responsible for taking an engineering design concept and transforming it into a 3D CAD model and drawing for manufacturing. They also are responsible for the creation and design of tooling concepts for composite fabrication, development of CNC machine tooling, and assembly fixturing.

  • Develop patterns, organize workloads, and perform maintenance for NC ply-cutter and laser projection files.
