Quality Inspectors – 1st & 2nd Shifts

POSITION SUMMARY

Quality Inspectors are responsible for inspecting all parts that need to be shipped. This process includes checking the drawing and contract for revision changes and call-outs on the drawing or in the contract. Inspectors perform source, in-process, and first article inspections. They also focus on up front activities, such as preparation of first article inspection reports and coordinate customer source inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read manufacturing blueprints and contracts to ensure that all part specifications are abided by.
  • Accurately use calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and scale rulers.
  • Inspect parts while in-process and at the final level.
  • Perform necessary MRP and DBR transactions.
  • Perform first article inspections.
  • Perform additional tests, as needed, including pressure, leakage, and tensile.
  • Facilitate source inspections
  • Mark parts with proper identification as required by customer.
  • Research quality requirements for upcoming jobs.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other policies as applicable.

Marginal Duties:

  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Specification testing per customer and certification requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company.
  • Be actively engaged in the department’s 6S program and complete all necessary paperwork.

Shipping Portal Clerk – 1st Shift

Position Summary

The Shipping portal clerk is responsible for coordinating and preparing parts for shipping. Each part is prepared in compliance with Royal customer and receiver specifications. He or she will interact with customers and all departments, including finish, engineering, sales, and production support, to ensure movement of the parts and to keep delivery on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a regular and reliable schedule as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines.
  • Ensure proper packaging of the parts according to contract, carrier and customer specifications.
  • Able to read and understand contracts and specifications.
  • Work in customer portals to ship items as required by contract and customer requirements

Finishers use various processes in our manufacturing facility to complete parts per specification and frequently use power tools, including routers, band and table saws, and mills. They also use various hand tools and employ various methods to file, sand, and paint parts. After working on a part, finishers use measuring instruments to determine conformance to specifications.
