QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal Chief Financial Officer for Royal is a forward thinking, strategic advisor who promotes and enables change throughout the organization. This person understands the role that finance plays in the company and provides the necessary analysis and decision tools to drive the company forward and execute its strategy. They can integrate between the overall company strategy, establish a financial strategy and detailed systems required to support them. As such, the Chief Financial Officer is systems oriented and understands the power of data. She/he anticipates needs of the major users of financial data and builds the systems and tools necessary for leaders to change behaviors and make effective decisions.

As part of Royal’s Leadership Team, this person exhibits a high level of teamwork and is transparent in her/his actions. She/he is adaptable and can switch between strategy and detail tactics while being mindful of the regulatory requirements of the business. The ideal candidate is authoritative; she/he has the ability to make difficult decisions and supports those decisions using trusted models, forecasts and other tools. RESPONSIBILITIES

The essence of the CFO role is to understand the business, the market, the strategy, and the environment and work with the Leadership Team to leverage his/her skills and experience in finance, economics, and accounting to accomplish the strategic and tactical goals of the company. The results include tactical execution of solid business systems for processing information and data as well as forward-looking planning and analysis to improve return on investment and guide management decisions. The CFO looks at the financial and economic landscapes; provides access to more capital than the company needs; improves financial management systems; works as a leader with the rest of the Leadership Team to identify areas of improvement or issues across the company; and drives successful results. The CFO is expected to bring solutions and options instead of problems, and bring those solutions very early when warning signs emerge.

Strategy

  • Work as a member of the Leadership Team to set strategy, vision, mission, purpose, and overall direction.
  • Execute the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business. Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments, etc.

Financial & Economic

  • Establish and execute a plan to support Royal’s financial needs.
  • Develop access to capital funding in excess of 5 year growth needs utilizing a capitalization structure that optimizes costs and risk.
  • Develop and implement strategies to hedge or limit risk in changing economic conditions, including inflation and labor, and apply those strategies to contracts and practice
  • Produce financial statements and reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide analysis of performance that can be integrated into models to improve planning.
  • Responsible for accurate accounting and finance practices that satisfy Board & management needs; pass external audits; and comply with regulatory governance.
  • Work with Leadership Team to develop future financial projection models for use in planning for both management and GAAP.

Engineering Services Manager

Position Summary

The engineering department at Royal is comprised of different job functions, skills and personnel.  Some of these job functions, skills and personnel are grouped under a department called Engineering Services.  Examples of job functions under Engineering Services may include, but are not limited to:  CAD, Technical Writing, Document and Data Control, Design Analysis, and Soft Tooling – includes composite tooling, caul sheets, programming for laser projection, ply nesting, CNC machines, etc.

The Engineering Services Manager is responsible for scheduling, coordinating job functions and personnel along with monitoring departmental output and progress to support engineering related tasks as well as prioritizing and defining requests for services that may come from other departments within Royal.
