Position Summary

Royal is an aerospace composites manufacturer operating under NADCAP and AS9100 Rev D as well as multiple customer program qualifications. The Quality Manager is Royal’s company Quality Management Representative in all matters concerning quality.  This position will integrate quality systems within our new ERP system and set the course for a future which includes the growing use of AI, vision and automation within our quality systems.

The Quality Manager has the organizational freedom to identify problems related to quality and to correct, initiate action for correction, or stop any work or activity that violates the established quality standards. The Quality Manager will set the standards for training and managing our Quality Engineer group, Calibration, NDI test, material testing lab and our Inspection teams.  The Quality Manager owns Royal’s Quality Management System and will work to continuously improve our quality assurance programs to ensure we meet all customer and regulatory requirements.

The Quality Manager represents the company with external entities including customers, vendors and certification bodies. The need to continuously improve our management systems will help Royal maintain and enhance its strong reputation for product quality. This position, a member of the company’s operations leadership team, will partner with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and operations to support new product development, new product industrialization and sustaining quality engineering activities to ensure our parts meet specifications, exhibit excellent workmanship and are delivered on time. The Quality Manager will integrate a team into Royal’s project management processes by providing Quality Engineering project oversight and management, including initiating and leading cross-functional teams when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review customer quotations, contracts, and change orders.
  • Maintain the production planner approval process.
  • Monitor company and customer owned tooling.
  • Develop and submit for customer approval any quality procedures required for compliance.
  • Create and maintain documentation, inspection and auditing systems to monitor our systems.
  • Establish and maintain relations with customer quality representatives.
  • Prepare for and support external audits by certification bodies and customers.
  • Plan and conduct training throughout the company to ensure integrity of our quality systems.
  • Develop and document scorecard metrics to monitor system performance.
  • Manage the development and revision of required procedures and documents related to the overall quality system.
  • Lead and manage the cross disciplinary MRB process.
  • Maintain the RMA process.
  • Manage the supplier quality processes.
  • Manage the RCCA process and monitor compliance with corrective actions.
  • Creates Quality budget yearly and updates by the 5th of every month.
  • Monitor, coach, develop, and grow employees.
  • Promote company goals and lead employees to achieve personal and company performance goals.
  • Initiate emergency action plan to keep employees safe in the event of a plant emergency.
  • Update employees on new procedures and upcoming events.
  • Process and approve time cards for and complete reviews of subordinates, set clear goals, and hold employees accountable.
  • Responsibly handle all issues that arise within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Qualifications:

  • Formal education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Quality Management preferred.
  • Experience:  minimum 3 years experience leading a multi-disciplinary quality team.  NADCAP & AS9100 Rev D experience strongly desired. 5+ years manufacturing experience required, aerospace industry preferred.
  • Computer Skills:  Must be able to use common office software systems.
  • Certificates and Licenses:  None required.

Position Summary

The Receptionist is the first person many people interact with when engaging with Royal, be it in person or on the phone. This person is responsible for projecting a positive and professional image to those he or she interacts with. In addition to directing phone and foot traffic, this position is responsible for office management tasks, such as order office supplies and booking travel.

POSITION SUMMARY

Quality Inspectors are responsible for inspecting all parts that need to be shipped. This process includes checking the drawing and contract for revision changes and call-outs on the drawing or in the contract. Inspectors perform source, in-process, and first article inspections. They also focus on up front activities, such as preparation of first article inspection reports and coordinate customer source inspections.
