Project Engineer

Position Summary

A Project Engineer is responsible for generating innovative and practical solutions to problems and performing fundamental engineering analysis to validate designs. He or she may also assist sales efforts by assisting with the generation of estimates and proposals. New processes and products are managed by Project Engineers through the first article adaption and transition to full scale production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist sales with generation of cost and technical proposals.
  • Establish and update material, tooling, processes, and MRP definition for new and legacy products.
  • Review, author, evaluate, and/or approve technical data including models, drawings, production planners, specifications, requirements, and procedures.
  • Assist with qualification efforts.
  • Review and participate in Material Review Board processes for nonconforming materials.
  • Complete hands-on work with production and product development personnel to support fabrication of first articles.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Qualifications:

  • Formal education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience:  3 to 5 years professional experience, preferably in a composites setting
  • Computer Skills:  Must be able to use common office software and engineering software systems (Microsoft Office, CAD software, ERP, PLM). Experience with Catia is beneficial.
  • Certificates and Licenses:  None required.

Engineering Technician

Position Summary

An Engineering Technician is responsible for working many of the hands on projects either self-derived or at the direction of another member of the engineering team. Collaboration with engineering to generate innovative and practical solutions to new and existing problems using fundamental engineering analysis and scientific method is required. An emphasis on process improvement and automation of current and future processing methods is one of the focuses of this position.

CNC Operator – 2nd or 3rd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY

CNC Operators are responsible for running each machine’s full capabilities to keep up with the schedule while maintaining quality work and a safe working environment. Operators use CAD CAM software and DNC software to send program files to each machine.

Cure Technician – 2nd and 3rd Shifts

Position Summary

Cure Technicians are responsible for curing parts per customer specifications. This involves loading and running the autoclaves, presses, and ovens. Cure Techs also demold the cured parts and bag parts prior to their cure cycles.

  • Demold parts, clean molds, mark molds for identification purposes, and prepare molds with release agent.

Finishers use various processes to complete parts per specification and frequently use power tools, including routers, band and table saws, and mills. They also use various hand tools and employ various methods to file, sand, and paint parts. After working on a part, finishers use measuring instruments to determine conformance to specifications.
