As a structural, weatherproof enclosure, radomes are designed to protect antennaes at subsonic and supersonic speeds with minimum interference to radar transmissions. The composite materials we use to design blade, low-profile, and ballistic radomes provide numerous advantages, including low dielectric properties and loss tangent, increased stiffness with lighter weight, and thermal stability.
Royal Engineered Composites manufactures radomes using composite materials such as E-glass, S-glass, quartz, and Spectra Shield®, and resin systems including BMI, cyanate ester, and epoxy.
Radomes are typically autoclave cured and CNC machined due to precise specifications for dimension and performance. We will help you select the appropriate radome for your applications.
